Andrew “Andy” R. Cagnetta, Jr., Chief Executive Officer and Manager of Transworld has been in the business brokerage industry since 1995, is a recognized leader in the business brokerage industry and the South Florida business community. Since 1997, Mr. Cagnetta has served as President of Transworld Business Brokers, a business brokerage in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they have sold thousands of businesses. A skilled negotiator and recognized national trainer of negotiation techniques, Mr. Cagnetta specializes in technology-related mergers and acquisitions, service, manufacturing and distribution businesses.
Mr. Cagnetta is an IBBA (International Business Brokers Association) Certified Business Intermediary. He is a Past Chairman of the IBBA and has served as the South Florida BBF (Business Brokers of Florida) president since 2003. An active member of many other professional organizations, he has been inducted to the South Florida Junior Achievement Hall of Fame, received the 2009 CEO Diamond Award, South Florida Business Journal’s 2002 Up and Comers Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the 2002 Arthur E. Turner Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award. An experienced business owner, Mr. Cagnetta has personally owned and sold many businesses during his entrepreneurial career.
An active member of the community, Mr. Cagnetta has served on the board of numerous organizations including the United Way, Lifenet4familes, Cooperative Feeding Program, Junior Achievement of South Florida, the Legal Aid Service, and The Clery Center – Security on Campus, Broward Workshop. He was the 2010 Association of Fundraising Professionals Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year.
Mr. Cagnetta received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University in 1987. He is also a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker and a Commercial Lighting Designer.
